STEAM Saturday- NEST Level Bird Feeders

Perfect for curious kids who love animals, nature and getting creative!

In this hands-on STEAM workshop, we’ll explore the fascinating world of bird nests and discover how our feathered friends prepare for spring. As migratory birds return to Ontario, they begin building nests — not as homes to live in year-round, but as safe places to lay eggs and raise their young.

Participants will:
- Learn about bird biology and nesting behaviours
- Compare different nest styles and materials
- Make their own seed feeder using simple household ingredients
- Explore how to responsibly support backyard birds
- Children will go home with their own handmade bird feeder, ready to hang and welcome spring visitors.

On STEAM Saturday, kids get creative and get their hands dirty with science and art!
