The Poppy Project: A Community Call for Crochet Poppies
What:The Poppy Project: A Community Call for Crochet Poppies
When: Tuessday, September 16 | 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Where: Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre
We invite you to join us in a heartfelt act of community remembrance. Whether you’re a seasoned crocheter or just picking up your hook again, we welcome your creativity and care as we craft handmade poppies for a special outdoor display honouring Remembrance Day.
This is not a teaching workshop but a time to come together in shared purpose. Bring your own patterns or work from inspiration at the table—supplies will be available, but feel free to bring your preferred yarn and tools. Drop in anytime during the session to create alongside others, or crochet at home and contribute your poppies by bringing them to the museum before October 3rd.
All poppies collected will become part of our collective display, serving as a visual tribute to those who served and those who continue to serve.
Let’s honour through hands-on remembrance.
